Jillian, Cosmetologist, Front Office Coordinator

Jillian, our Front Office Coordinator, will likely be the first face to greet you at Shumway Cosmetic Surgery. In addition to being an administrative assistant, she is also a highly credentialed medical aesthetician and cosmetologist. Her outgoing, accommodating disposition will immediately put you at ease. Jillian's outside interests include special effect, theatrical and corrective cosmetic make-up application for which she has won numerous awards. Jill has a deep passion for animal advocacy and works tirelessly to help connect animals with adoptive families.

Lorri, Patient Coordinator, RN

Lorri, our Patient Coordinator, has an ability to instantly relate with our patients in a very nonthreatening manner. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University and was the founding Transplant Coordinator at the Arizona Heart Institute. Her medical expertise as a former cardiovascular nurse, combined with her interpersonal skills allows her to seamlessly "coordinate" patient care from concept to completion. Lorri's excellent working relationship with Dr. Shumway, makes her the perfect patient liaison as she facilitates excellence in the doctor-patient relationship. Lorri enjoys the privilege of establishing ongoing relationships with our truly valued patients.

Mary, Surgical Assistant, EMT and Aesthetician

Mary, Dr. Shumway's Surgical Assistant for over nine years, attended Nazareth College and is a certified EMT and licensed Aesthetician. She has received specialized medical training including ACLS and BLS. With nearly a decade of experience as an integral member of the surgical team, Mary's contributions are invaluable. Our patients appreciate her considerable knowledge and compassionate care as she attends to their needs throughout the postoperative process. Mary has a larger than life personality with a passion for music and the arts.

Sarah, RN, JD

Sarah, Dr. Shumway's Surgical Registered Nurse, received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University and a Law Degree from the University of San Diego. Her experience as an Attorney, specializing in Medical Law together with her expertise as a Surgical Nurse, is exemplary. Even more impressive is Sarah's innate ability to provide nursing care in a truly compassionate and nurturing manner pre-operatively, intra-operatively and postoperatively. Our patients frequently express gratitude for the extraordinary care they receive from Sarah.

Kathy, Practice Manager

Kathy, our Office Manager attended Arizona State University and studied Audiology and Speech Pathology. As a mother of six, Kathy has exceptional organizational skills and patience. Her forte is administrative efficiency and attention to detail resulting in a highly functional environment in which the Shumway Team can shine. Her can-do attitude and sensitivity to the needs of others inspires us all. Kathy's personal pursuits include scrapbooking, travelling and scuba diving.
